The President was speaking Monday while addressing newly sworn in ministers at the inaugural meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the State House in Abuja.

“We will develop a restructuring of local finances, an innovative way of resource management, and we will let the economy serve the people of this country.
“There are so many things we can and will do. Well, some skeptics would say that's not possible. But in your own service dictionary, anything can happen and it has to be possible,” the president said.
Emphasizing that anyone who thinks the appointments are fixed-term appointments is wrong, the president said he is confident that carefully selected cabinet members know that his government is a government. new with new approach and new mission towards Nigeria, without any lament or apology.
“We have talent, we have the level of intellectual capacity needed to turn the tide in this country. We will make sure the country is on the right track to success on behalf of the more than 200 million Nigerians who rely on us,” the president said. Tinubu said expectations were high and no member of his cabinet would accept inefficiencies.
“You and I know that expectations are high and times are tough. We must work hard and act to create a vibrant economy that serves Nigeria. We have unacceptable employment rates and we face threats from climate change.
“To turn the tide, you have been chosen to give your best. The implementation of our policies will reform the economy, ensure inclusive growth, and enhance security for peace and prosperity. Without security there can be no investment,” the president said.
