POLICE INTERCEPTS 10 YEAR OLD BOY DRIVING HIS MOM'S CAR

In a surprising turn of events in Florida, law enforcement officers were in for a shock when they pulled over a driver on a major highway and discovered that the driver was a mere 10-year-old boy.

The young boy, accompanied by his 11-year-old sister, was intercepted in Alachua, a location that was hundreds of miles away from where their mother had reported them missing just earlier in the week.

The reason for their audacious escape attempt, according to police, was their mother's decision to confiscate their electronic gadgets.

The traffic stop, as described by the Alachua County Sheriff's office, was deemed "high risk" and occurred late at night, precisely at 03:50 local time (07:50 GMT) on a Thursday.

The white sedan in which the siblings were traveling had been reported missing by their mother, who had taken this drastic measure after taking away their electronic devices. 

Her concern stemmed from the belief that her children were not using these gadgets responsibly.

Notably, the police emphasized that there was no indication of mistreatment at their home.

Subsequently, the children's mother undertook a three-hour drive north to Alachua to reunite with her kids. During their interaction, police detectives engaged in a comprehensive conversation with the mother. 

It was apparent that she was putting in her best efforts to raise her two young children, and she was very open to the recommendations provided by law enforcement to assist her in obtaining the necessary support.

In Florida, the legal age to obtain a learner's permit is 15, with a requirement that individuals must be 18 years old to apply for a full driver's license.
