The talk show host recently joined the King of Talk podcast hosted by veteran comedian Teju Babyface. In the interview, he noted that the online criticism and trolling started after he stopped hosting the game show 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
He said: "I became the 'king of applause' when they said I was kicked out of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' and then people started insulting me. People got at me, you know. I never looked at it because I thought I couldn't be offended."
Frank also says that trolls deserve a taste of their own medicine, especially those who hunt him down for no reason. Note that giving them freedom will give them the ability to attack his people at another time and he won't allow that.
He went on to say, "But when you insult me for something that didn't happen, or you just had a baby, or you just want to be cynical, then I say those people deserve an answer. First, because everyone answers it. And if you uphold a fool, one day that fool will become the president of this country.
The media personality emphasized that he doesn't heed people's advice to ignore trolls(online gossip) because he's not trying to be a role model for anyone. He also added that people are telling him to think about what it means to return to his brand, while pointing out that he has never promised to be the biggest man when it comes to best manners.
In the words of Frank: “You know why? Because everyone says, "No, don't get into trolls(online gossip)." Some people actually messaged me and said, "Your replies to trolls will break your brand." I said: what brand? If I had a brand, I wouldn't intentionally distribute it. I'm just a guy who loves streaming. I was like, "Who wants to be a millionaire?" "And before I got this job, I didn't promise you that I would behave in the best possible way."
