In a highly anticipated Merseyside derby, Mohamed Salah showcased his scoring prowess, netting a crucial second-half double to secure a 2-0 victory for Liverpool over 10-man Everton in the Premier League.

The pivotal moment of the match came when Salah confidently converted a penalty in front of the passionate Kop End crowd. The penalty opportunity arose after Michael Keane's handball, bringing an end to a frustrating 75 minutes for the home side.

Salah wasn't finished there, adding a late second goal that briefly propelled Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table—until Manchester City's later win on the same Saturday.

Dwight McNeil's curling effort was deflected over the crossbar, but ultimately, Everton couldn't break through Liverpool's resilient defense.

Liverpool finally found the breakthrough they were seeking with 15 minutes to go, thanks to Salah's clinical penalty and a late strike in injury time. The result left Sean Dyche's Everton side with only two wins in nine league games this season, while Liverpool's fans celebrated another memorable Merseyside derby victory.
